Interwetten Sportwetten Gmbh Ltd was originally established in Vienna way back in 1990 as a betting service for soccer and hockey. Later they became known as Interwetten AG Plc and the operational element was transferred to the wholly owned subsidiary Interwetten Cyprus Ltd, and since March 2005 Interwetten have been based in Malta.

Like NordicBet and Betsson this book focuses mainly on €opean sports and is a great place for soccer odds. In fact, a large percentage of their action is received from soccer bets. Other options include tennis, hockey, basketball, handball, skiing, volleyball, table tennis and snooker. Asian handicaps are offered but they do not compete with Pinnacle or Bet365 and Interwetten are not big on specials either.

Minimum stake per bet is 3 €.

The website design is simple, user friendly and navigates quickly and efficiently. But with only live betting and live results it lacks the features of many of the modern €opean books such as Ladbrokes, Blue Square, BetFred, Paddy Power and William Hill.

Deposit methods include Credit Card, Moneybookers, PaysafeCard, Ukash, Bank Transfer, PayBox (a mobile phone system) and Cash in betting voucher.

The minimum deposit value is 10 € for most methods and the maximum limits vary depending on the method.

Customer service is available 24/7 but it is limited to email and telephone support only. The agents are multilingual and friendly and generally the customer support provided by Interwetten is highly praised for their attentiveness.

Residents of the United States are not able to register an account or wager at Interwetten.

There is no history of serious complaints for this book, but there was once a software problem that prevented the correct wagering limits being applied to some events. As a matter of recourse the management applied the limits when the event was over at the time of grading and conclusively the winning wagers that put bettors risk amount above the intended limit were cancelled.

Overall there is room for improvement but if you are not a professional bettor and prefer credibility and a safe betting environment over limits you will be satisfied with what's on offer at Interwetten.
