Bookmaker Review of Betsson
2006/11/27 - Review by Ira Nanson
With a bookmaker's permit and registered offices in London and Malta Betsson is wholly owned by the Cherry Fortragen, a group registered on the Swedish Stock Exchange as "Cher-B" operating for over 40 years and specializing in internet, casino and gaming machines.
Basically Betsson is made up of two divisions Net Entertainment which sells software solutions to online gaming companies and Betsson Online which provides wagering opportunities to online gamblers.
The design and layout of the website is very impressive and navigating all areas of the sports, casino, poker, scratch card and the sports betting exchange is undoubtedly simple.
Catering mainly to the European market, Betsson offers a great range of wagering options such as hockey, NFL, basketball, snooker, rugby, cricket, biathlon, ski jumping, business and politics. In particular their soccer coverage is extensive and perhaps one of the best out there.
The minimum stake value is €3 and the maximum is €5,000, or equivalent. The winning limits are pretty low, the maximum amount is €5000 per bet and up to €10,000 per day, €25,000 per week, or equivalent.
At Betsson customers have the added option to trade bets to make a profit and choose their own odds with the sports betting exchange, it seems complicated especially to new users but avid users swear that this alternative adds spice to their betting entertainment. Quite simply the betting exchange allows customers to bet against each other instead of the bookmaker, keep control and take the bookmakers lay position.

The deposit methods available are limited to just Moneybookers, NETeller, Credit / Debit Cards and Bank Transfer and the minimum deposit value is €30 Euro or equivalent.
Residents of Malta, the United States and US territories are not able to wager at Betsson.
The odds at Betsson do not compete with Pinnacle or Bet365 and they are not as big as their European counterparts Ladbrokes and William Hill but this book is above average and can be considered if you want to broaden your list of reliable books.
