Sportsbook Review of ActionBets
2006/11/27 - Update by Brian Taylor
ActionBets announced today that they were separating from sister sportsbook RamJetSports
2006/11/22 - Review by Ira Nanson
Online since January 1999, ActionBets is parented by AbetNet and sister sites include RamJetSports and the XtremeWager website which is now offline.
The appearance of the website is professional and the layout is clear and user friendly. Digital Gaming Solutions is the software provider which also powers BetCris, Diamond Sportsbook, 7Palms and TCBets.
Fantastic and "too good to be true" bonus offers is always a good indicator of a poor, high risk or scam operations and conforming to style ActionBets offer some very attractive incentives ranging from 100% match bonus, reduced juice and pagers.
The book advertises "No Deposit Fees" but it's necessary to deposit a minimum of $500 to get the fees reimbursed to your gaming account. This amount is much higher than the industry standard.
Minimum stake for phone wagering is $25 which is a reasonable amount but the minimum stake for internet bets is a staggering $10, what are they thinking? Most books are competing to offer the lowest internet stakes to drive more customers online.
Customer service is available via live chat, email and telephone but the service is not efficient and most times it is just too difficult to contact them.
The minimum deposit value to open an account is $100 but don't waste your money, the chances of getting your money out is very slim. The bottom line is ActionBets don't have any available funds and withdrawing customers join a long queue of those already waiting for a payout. So far the book has made efforts and arrangements to make partial payments but to enable the cash flow the book relies on customers to deposit.
Due to bad business management and a poor financial structure ActionBets should be avoided until they have stabilized and made drastic improvements.
