Sportsbook Review of WSEX
2006/08/29 - Review by Ira Nanson

WSEX (World Sports Exchange) is recognized as an industry leader and featured by some of the most respected media names: New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Newsday, Washington Post, Sports Illustrated, Business Week, Newsweek and 60 Minutes.

Online since 1996 these guys know the business, most proabably because the three founders left their positions at the Pacific Stock Exchange to start their own sports exchange and introduced WSEX.

Another highly respected sports betting exchange is Mansion.

Not only do they offer traditional wagering options but they also provide a marketplace to trade Sports Futures giving you the chance to buy and sell your favorite teams and players.

Live betting is also available at WSEX.  In a live betting event, the winning side pays off at $100/contract; all other contracts are worth zero.  Prices are updated continuously throughout play, meaning that the value of individual contracts fluctuates based on the contestants' performance.

If card games are your passion, then you will be happy to know that WSEX offers rake-free poker, plus blackjack and backgammon.

The proprietary owned website offers no originality or flash banners which is now synonymous with modern day sportsbooks.  Good or bad?  It's a matter of personal choice but it is simple, easy to use and most important fast.

You can also expect to receive prompt and inexpensive payouts.

Customer service is available 24/7/365 via live chat, email and telephone.  Emails are answered within 48 -hours but this time frame is perhaps too long thanks to the efficiency of e-commerce.

As for the live chat service, this is the message you will recieve when you first connect:

  • "If a representative does not respond in a few seconds, then he/she is not available at this time."

Are they THAT busy?

Very few customers complain about WSEX but the most common ones are due to the limited number of bonus and promotions and some people just dont like the software.

If you prefer a no frills operation, simplicity and straighforward wagering you will be very satisfied with this book.  They are well established and highly regarded by their customers and their competitors.
