A new comer to the gaming industry Astrabet will need to take huge strides if they want to catch up with top bookmakers, Pinnacle, BetCRIS, Advantage Sports Betting, Bowmans and VIP.

Using proprietary owned software the website, although very simple to navigate lacks excitement and imagination. It's very bland, the content is surprisingly basic but overall the site contains very little information. Additionally, the wagering action is limited to in-running, soccer, tennis, formula 1, moto racing, eurobasket, ice hockey; MLB, boxing and antepost. With the lack of football they are highly unlikely to attract a large American audience.

To add to my list of negativity, trying to register an account is a very frustrating and tedious experience. No doubt for some, it's mission impossible since there is no indication of what the problem relates to and no live chat facility to contact customer support.

As far as customer support is concerned, it is limited to E-message if you are an account holder, emails and telephone, they do not provide a toll free service and the hours of operation are questionable: customer service daily from 10AM to 6PM, if you require assistance after those standard office hours, you will need to call a different number. Unfortunately the time zone is not indicated.

Surprisingly in April 2006 Astrabet set a legal precedent by successfully campaigning against the Italian authorities who banned online gambling sites from Italian ISPs. The Civil Court in Rome ruled in favor of Astrabet and the decision to reinstate their connection applies to only them since they were the only company to challenge the ruling. So this goes to proves that Astrabet do have determination.
